Conclusion of Day 5
26/12/2009In the morning we attended a BBC Studio Tour. As you may know, i attended a tour at CNN and NBC and this was always a great experience. So, the BBC Tour was a must-do. You will see and learn there about the newsroom, the history of the channel and the building (funny, from the bird view the building looks like a question mark) and so on. I don’t get it: we have the ORF, the Brits have the BBC, both are public studios. Why is the BBC so cool and so good, and why is the ORF so a huge disappointment? One more question without answer.
We spent later some hours at the hotel, because i had to check in for the flight. After that, we went shopping at the Oxford Street. Don’t get me wrong: it is a nice street, but compared to our Mariahilferstrasse i can’t see why this street is so famous. And the 5th Ave. is not in this league, it’s more than a league above both of them. I bought some DVDs at HVM. They are cheaper than in Austria, so this was also a must-do. With bags of nice goods we went back to the Hotel.
